Everyone, everywhere has his or her own particular hopes and dreams, and a documentary exhibition that celebrates that fact, Hopes and Dreams, began a series of screenings at Tsinghua University on Monday.
The traveling exhibition is the cumulative work of CNEX (short for "Chinese Next"), which originally sets up a fund to promote films that document changing communities in China under a theme of "hopes and dreams," and to make sure that the films were seen by Chinese young people.
There is no admission price for the 12 movies that will be screened, including renowned director Cheung King-Wai's KJ or Music and Life, and less-known directors Su Che-Hsien's Hip-Hop Storm and Dong Jun's Flood.
